Happy Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day is sad for me sometimes because my mom passed on over 30 years ago. But, I remember she had an open mind, was interested in other people’s religions and traditions. She also was my earliest teacher. She supported me to do things I liked to do, play, and create.
Mom 1971, Florida with a coconut.
On Mother’s Day, we used to take her out for lunch or brunch and for a long ride, either to a new shopping mall under construction or along Lake Michigan. She didn’t drive, so she was thrilled to get out of the house.
My kitty boys are not allowed out of the house, so they don’t even get me a card. 😉
I know they’re healthy and well taken care of – and that’s my reward.
Happy Mother’s Day!
Tell me what’s special about your mom.
